Q. What happens to candidates who have failed in driving test or retest? 
Ans. Failed candidates can appear for the test only after 7 days on payment of test fees. 

Q. Can any applicant who has been tested and passed by testing officer be required to be retested by Licensing Authority? 
Ans. Yes, and only those who pass in retest are finally declared passed by Licensing Authority. 

Q. When can a licence be issued? 
Ans. When a person has been finally declared passed in driving test, he can be issued Driving Licence. 

Q. What is the extent and validity of the driving licence? 
Ans. Driving licence is valid throughout India for a period not exceeding 20 years or till the applicant attains 50 years of age, whichever is earlier. For the applicants who have attained 50 years of age, validity is for 5 years. In case of transport licence the validity is 3 years. 

Q. Can the applicant aggrieved by refusal order of learners licence or driving licence prefer an appeal? If yes, to which authority? 
Ans. Yes, the appellate authority is Transport Commissioner. 

Q. Within how many days the applicant aggrieved by refusal order for the grant of a learners licence/driving licence can prefer a appeal? 
Ans. Within 30 days of service of refusal Order.

Ans. Yes. 

Q. What are the requirements for international driving permit (IDP)? What is its validity? 
Ans. The requirements for IDP are. 
a) Apllicantion for IDP. 
b) Driving Licence. 
c) Passport. 
d) Two passport size photographs. 
e) Fees. 
The IDP is valid for one year. 

Q. Is there any test for IDP? 
Ans. No.
